The Duchess of Cambridge manages out how to stop people in their tracks at any rate, yet she certainly got the eyes of everyone around her while heading to a Buckingham Palace banquet wearing a tiara that once belonged to her mother-in-law.

The former Kate Middleton and her husband, Prince William, attended a state dinner Wednesday evening that featured the entire British royal suite and led by Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip.

Duchess Kate wore a light pink Marchesa dress with a plunging neckline partially covered by a Y-shaped diamond and ruby necklace, loaned to her from the Queen.

In any case, it was what she wore over her head that energized imperial watchers. Kate wore the Cambridge Lover’s Knot tiara that once had a place with her husband’s mother, Princess Diana.

Queen Elizabeth had given the pearl-and-diamond tiara as a wedding gift to Diana. In any case, the late Princess had been known to complain that the weight of what became known as her signature headpiece gave her headaches.

Duchess Kate has donned a tiara-less than a handful of times since she became a member of the royal family, beginning with a sparkling headpiece amid her 2011 wedding to William.

The guests of honor during the latest occasion, Wednesday’s banquet, were Spain’s King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia, whose three-day visit denoted the first run through a Spanish king had visited the United Kingdom in more than three decades.
