The bits of chatter about conjugal inconvenience were valid: “Real Housewives of New York” star Luann de Lesseps is getting separated from spouse Tom D’Agnostino following 7 months of marriage. The Bravo reality star essentially certified the news on Twitter:
The announcement comes after Luann denied the two were setting out toward a split basically a month back. In the midst of an appearance on “Watch What Happens Live,” Andy Cohen tended to what he called “the obvious issue at hand,” getting some information about a Page Six article asserting their marriage was “hanging by a string” and that she slapped him in a diner in Palm Beach.
“Oh, my God, that’s so not right,” Luann said. “I did not slap him. We have a very passionate love affair going. And let me tell you, we never go to bed angry, but when we do, when we wake up, we make up.”
“So then you never go to bed angry,” Cohen replied before grilling her again about the alleged slap. “It’s gossip. Come on. It’s gossip,” she fired back, “I took his face in a very loving way, and people took it as a slap.”
The marriage gave off an impression of being bound from the start, considering Tom was shot kissing another lady amid the couple’s engagement. In the wake of seeing the photo, Luann still continued with the wedding.
