Cindy Crawford has defended her choice to let her 16-year-old girl, Kaia Gerber. The supermodel says that she is more concerned about giving her child a chance to drive a car at that time to enter the fashion world.
“My girl just got a driver’s license,” Crawford told The Associated Press. “I’m a lot more concerned about her driving by herself then entering the world of modeling.”
She went ahead to clarify that she believes she has the favorable position since she has been a part of the business for so long and can in this way give her young the best direction.
“The most important thing for my kids is that I know a ton of that world,” he said. “I feel like: Who would rather help manage over me?”
Crawford added that, despite the fact that 16 may seem extremely juvenile to be pushed into the spotlight, it is recently ordinary in the mold: “In some ways. I wish I could have pushed it off a year or two. But she’s 16. That’s how old I was when I started, which is young, but in fashion, that’s kind of the normal age when people start.”
